‘Captain America: Civil War’ First Trailer Draws the Line Between Avengers; Steve Roger’s Friendship with Bucky Barnes to Start Infighting of Heroes!

It was previously reported the first official trailer of “Captain America: Civil War” will be released attached to the movie “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” when it hits global theaters on December 18.

Then came reports that the teaser of the third installment to Captain America’s movie trilogy would come out in one of the episodes of the ongoing Season 3 of the American fiction drama TV series “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” on ABC.

Imagine the surprise of everyone when on November 24, Marvel Studios dropped the first official trailer of “Captain America: Civil War.” But it was a good surprise as everybody got excited after getting a glimpse of the impending division of the Avengers over the Superhuman Registration Act.

Apparently, the regulation is an offshoot of the document known as the Sokovia Accords: Framework for the Registration and Deployment of Enhanced Individuals, which came as a result of the battle with Ultron in “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” details Vox.

Sokovia is the country that Ultron attacked and then levitated from the ground in an attempt to wipe out the world.

It turns out that various international governments have come to a decision to hold the Avengers accountable for the damage that they’ve caused or their fight against Ultron caused. By invoking the Sokovia Accords, governments have come up with a legislation detailing the superhuman registration act to enable the governments to have control over them or their actions.

The start of the animosity

Based on the 146-second trailer, it seems that the division of the Avengers will not come as an offshoot of the new legislation to put a leash on the superheroes but because of Steve Rogers’ friendship with Bucky Barnes.

Steve is the alter ego of Captain America while Bucky is the alter ego of The Winter Soldier. It seems that Cap believes that he could change The Winter Soldier because he is still Bucky inside and he seems to have started succeeding on it when Bucky said that he remembers Steve’s mother and his newspaper shoes, notes iO9.

Amid the good intention of Cap, the authorities and some of the Avengers are upset about the things that The Winter Soldier did during “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” and wants him dead. So Cap released him before the authorities got to him, and that started the animosity among the Avenbers.

Because Captain America is playing on his relationship with Bucky, General Ross also spoke to him and said that the star-spangled superhero is actually a vigilante.

Ross said that superheroes operating with unlimited powers and no supervision are something that the world can no longer tolerate.

And that is where the main plotline of “Captain America: Civil War” shall revolve. Interestingly the trailer also showed Captain America and The Winter Soldier working together, using Cap’s shield, and battling Iron Man, which only indicates that the friendship of Steve and Bucky really came to play more than Steve’s friendship with Tony Stark.

Marvel’s biggest movie in 2016

“Captain America: Civil War” is expected to be the biggest movie of Marvel next year following its splash this year with “Avengers: Age of Ultron” and “Ant-Man.”

The movie is based on a script that was written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeeley and it is an adaptation of one of Marvel Comics’ biggest crossover events – Mark Millar’s “Civil War.”

The plot of “Captain America: Civil War” is tied into the aftermath of “Avengers: Age of Ultron” and the conclusion of phase two of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

That and the ensemble of Marvel superheroes in the movie have prompted critics to brand the third Captain America movie as an Avengers film.

But Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige officially came out recently to say that “Captain America: Civil War” is very much Cap’s movie because it is the culmination of a trilogy that began with “Captain America: The First Avenger.”
