In the end though, Nintendo have a lot of experience in this industry and they clearly have some serious plans for the Switch, perhaps even more than they did for the Wii U when they were bringing it to the market.
We trust that they have a few aces up their sleeve that they’re not showing us yet, and with that in mind, the Switch could easily turn out to be one of the more interesting hardware releases of this year.
There is not much time left to go before the console hits the market, so we’re going to find out soon enough either way. Combining a handheld console with a complete desktop solution can be a game changer for some people, but it could also go down in history as a simple gimmick that didn’t play out like the studio were hoping.
Let’s not forget that “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild” is also coming along with the console, and a recent leak about the game has painted it in a very positive light, giving many gamers hope that it might really be a worthy successor to the iconic franchise. A solid release of a new “Zelda” combined with a well-planned and executed delivery of the Nintendo Switch to the market could be all the company needs to get to the top of the charts right now, and we’re sincerely hoping that they’re going to get the formula right in every way.
