‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’ Remastered Version Adds Major Hype to the Coming of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare

The next “Call of Duty” game coming to the current generation gaming consoles is officially titled “Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.” It is expected to hit the Xbox One, the PlayStation 4, and the PC sometime in November as game publisher Activision normally does.

With the commercial success of “Call of Duty: Black Ops 3” when it was released in the fall of last year, pressure is now on the publisher and game developer to do well for the upcoming “Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.”

To further whet gamer appetite for the upcoming game, Activision is planning to release a remastered version of the 2009 “Call of Duty” game called “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2” for the previous generation gaming consoles including the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3, and the current generation gaming consoles in the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4. It shall also be made available on the PC.

The “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2” shall be available with the purchase of the “Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare” when it launches in November. It shall contain the entire campaign as well as a selection of the most famous multiplayer maps.

“Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2,” the sixth game in the “Call of Duty” first-person shooter video game franchise, was released worldwide in November 2009.

It is a direct sequel to “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare” and continued the same storyline. In fact, while in development, it was being referred to as “Call of Duty 6.”

Based on real-life conflicts

Game developer Infinity Ward was inspired by real-life conflicts during the development of the campaign mode of “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.” The campaign follows the Task Force 141, a special forces unit led by Captain Soap MacTavish and the United States Army Rangers as they hunt Vladimir Makarov, leader of the Russian Ultranationalist party.

The playable characters of “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2” include Gary ‘Roach’ Sanderson and James Ramirez, with Captain MacTavish becoming playable later in the campaign.

The game’s multiplayer mode has more content compared to “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare” After its released in November 2009, Activision subsequently released two DLC packs for the game and in the mode, with each containing four new maps.

“Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2” has been a critically-acclaimed video game, attaining a 94% aggregate score on Metacritic with praises addressed directly to its in-depth multiplayer component.

In fact, within 24 hours from the time it was released, the game already sold approximately 4.7 million copies in North America and the United Kingdom.

The game also had its fair share of controversies including one playable level where players carry out a terror attack on an airport.

Better graphic and new physics

“Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2” is officially being referred to by Activision as “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered.”

Gotta Be Mobile recently had a closer look at the “Crew Expendable” mission in “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered” and the review is quite excellent, assuring gamers of Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 , that they can play through the game with better graphics and new physics in the current generation gaming consoles and the PC.

According to the game publisher, “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered” shall come to the Playstation 4 exactly a month ahead of the versions for the Xbox One and the PC.

It has been reported that the game shall also be released this coming fall bundled with the release of “Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.”

Based on the rumored features of the remastered version of “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2,” gamer stats on the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 from the original game will not be transferrable to the new game so the players will have to start from the beginning.
