‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’ Remastered is the Biggest and Most Valuable Bonus Content Ever, Says Game Publisher!

“Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2” is the sixth game in the “Call of Duty” first-person shooter video game franchise, which was released worldwide in November 2009.

It is a direct sequel to “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare” and continuing the same storyline. In fact, while in development, it was being referred to as “Call of Duty 6.”

Game developer Infinity Ward was inspired by real-life conflicts during the development of the campaign mode of “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.” The campaign follows the Task Force 141, a special forces unit led by Captain Soap MacTavish and the United States Army Rangers as they hunt Vladimir Makarov, leader of the Russian Ultranationalist party.

The playable characters of “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2” include Gary ‘Roach’ Sanderson and James Ramirez, with Captain MacTavish becoming playable later in the campaign.

The game’s multiplayer mode has more content compared to “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare” After its released in November 2009, Activision subsequently released two DLC packs for the game.

“Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2” has been a critically-acclaimed video game, attaining a 94% aggregate score on Metacritic with praises coming mostly from its in-depth multiplayer component.

In fact, within 24 hours from the time it was released, the game already sold approximately 4.7 million copies in North America and the United Kingdom.

The game also had its fair share of controversies including one playable level where players carry out a terror attack on an airport.
