Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Disc Needed to Play Modern Warfare Remastered

One likely answer would have been to purchase Infinite Warfare at retail, and then using the code to download the remaster, after which we could sell or trade-in the newer title. However, according to the games website that is not likely to happen.

In the recent trailer released by Activision we saw that we get to play once again as Sergeant John “Soap” MacTavish, which according to GamenGuide is still the weirdest name for a soldier in a video game.

In the game’s campaign mode, which is set in the backdrop of Russia and the Middle East. It is still the same story with the identical gameplay controls and mechanics. The difference is only this, that the current-gen graphics will serve as a mode of reintroduction to gamers both old and new.

By making the fans buy finite Warfare almost forcibly in order to play Modern Warfare Remastered, Activision is probably risking losing consumers, who don’t want to play the former. On the plus side, it also stands to make a lot of revenue from the added sales of one game for those willing to play the other.
