‘Call of Duty: Black Ops III’ to Hit the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the PC on November 6

True to its commitment made two weeks earlier, game publisher Activision did a worldwide reveal of the next game in the “Call of Duty” franchise on April 26 that was highlighted by the release of an official teaser trailer.

Officially titled “Call of Duty: Black Ops III,” it is the third game in the specific “Call of Duty” series, following the release of “Call of Duty: Black Ops” in November 2010 and the subsequent roll out of “Call of Duty: Black Ops II” in November 2012.

Activision really likes launching its games in November since the publisher obviously wants to capitalize on the Holiday shopping frenzy where video games are among the hottest merchandises for Christmas. In November last year, it also launched “Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.”

Thus, it is no longer a surprise that its upcoming game “Call of Duty: Black Ops III” will hit the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One, and the PC on November 6.

Cooperative campaign

In addition to its superb visuals as usual, the teaser trailer of “Call of Duty: Black Ops III” also featured a four-player cooperative campaign mode which enable four gamers to play the game simultaneously and tackle the story together, notes the Mirror.

“Call of Duty: Black Ops III” is set some 50 years into the future when soldiers are already using bio-augmentation and exoskeletons to bring them enhanced strength and capabilities. It takes place after the events of “Call of Duty: Black Ops II.”

Players get into the exoskeleton suits and take on roles as they explore the open world. They can also boost jump in every direction they prefer to go, carry out power slides, as well as leap over obstacles while aiming and firing their weapons upon the enemies.

Surprisingly, the game also allows gamers to run on vertical surfaces that was not possible with “Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.”

In terms of storyline, groups of countries have formed two opposing alliances known as the Common Defence Pact and the Winslow Accord. Both alliances are fighting over the planet’s energy and water supplies.

More details for disclosure

Following the official release of the game’s teaser trailer, Activision said that more details of “Call of Duty: Black Ops III” will be revealed in the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2015 to be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center on June 16 to 18.

Just like the previous Black Ops entries for the “Call of Duty” game, the third installment to the particular series is being developed by Treyarch studio.

Treyarch was responsible for the development of the World War II – themed “Call of Duty: World at War” back in 2008. There have already been rumors that the upcoming “Call of Duty: Black Ops III” will be a sequel to the game launched in 2008.
