‘Call of Duty: Black Ops 3’ Continues to Make Video Game History; Emerges to Become the Best-Selling Game in North America Since 2013!

The first-person shooter video game “Call of Duty: Black Ops 3” continues to make video game history when the November 2015 report of the NPD came out recently and cited the title as the No. 1 selling game in North America since 2013.

Game publisher Activision proudly made the announcement, staking its claim to “Call of Duty: Black Ops 3” as the biggest release of any retail video game title in the North American continent in three years, notes the PlayStation Lifestyle.

The game publisher went on to state that “Call of Duty: Black Ops 3” also beat all other new video game releases in November 2015 by a wide margin.

Rob Kostich, senior vice president and general manager of Activision, says that “Call of Duty: Black Ops 3” is the largest release of any video game title based on physical units sold at retail beginning with its November launching month.

Kostich said that the good news is that there is a tremendous momentum for “Call of Duty: Black Ops 3” during the current Holiday season.

In fact, during the weekend following the launch of “Call of Duty: Black Ops 3” on November 6, a Friday, the game has posted $550 million in digital sales and racked up more than 75 million hours of player engagement within a span of 72 hours.

Eric Hirshberg, CEO of Activision Publishing, stated that the launching of “Call of Duty: Black Ops 3” is bigger than any game, any movie, or any entertainment launch this year.

“Call of Duty: Black Ops 3” is the 12th entry in the “Call of Duty” franchise. Aside from generating $550 million in three days, more gamers are engaging deeply in the game than ever before as can be attested by the hours spent by each player on the game than any “Call of Duty” game on record.

Although the video game came at a time when there are plenty of multiplayer shooters in the market, “Call of Duty: Black Ops 3” retains the core of the gameplay but with many additions and features to make it very exciting and interesting to gamers.

Fans and critics believe that it is one of the current video games in the market that is certainly worth investing one’s time on because it has set the standard for how much content first-person shooter video games should have.
