Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Keeps Getting New Content, Improving an Already Quality Game!

We’re about to get the next installment in the “Call of Duty” franchise, and many people are already talking about “Black Ops 3” exclusively, but there is still a lot of attention on “Advanced Warfare” which came out last year. This applies to both players and developers alike, and it looks like the game can remain alive for a lot longer if Sledgehammer keep putting so much effort into its development. Of course, once “Black Ops 3” is out many people are going to migrate to it, especially if it’s well-made, but “Advanced Warfare” should be able to retain a large part of its playerbase.

Most recently, the studio has released new gear and updates to various weapons in the game, further improving the balance and ensuring that the gameplay stays fresh and exciting for everyone involved. Fans have even more reasons to keep leveling up their characters now, and there is also a special new event coming up called “Grand Master Prestige Appreciation Day” when players who’ve managed to reach that level of Prestige will get a lot of extra loot to play with.

And while that’s a lot of XP to earn for some players, Sledgehammer claim that anyone who wants to get up to that level should have a chance to do so by the deadline, so they seem to consider it a fair offer for all of their players. Whether or not that will require players to sit down glued to the screen for hours at a time, we don’t know – but in the end, it’s just a game and players can decide for themselves if the situation is worth their time.

As talks about “Black Ops 3” are getting more and more active, some players have been questioning what should be preserved from the formula of “Advanced Warfare”. Unlike “Ghosts”, this game managed to truly breathe some fresh new life in the franchise and revived people’s interest in it. And unlike “Ghosts”, it was received very well by pretty much everyone, players and critics alike. Many of the changes introduced in that game will now be carried over to the next installment too, but what about the future of the franchise?

The advanced movement system is likely here to stay, and we would be surprised if the next game developed by Infinity Ward – which should be the 2016 “Call of Duty” if the rotation is preserved – doesn’t include a similar feature. It would be smart of IW to expand on that system as well, adding new features and making it even more interesting.

Treyarch did exactly that with “Black Ops 3”, adding things like wall running and various additional movement perks that make the game even smoother and more fluid in its movement, while also raising the skill ceiling and allowing players to truly do more with their soldiers. It’s not just out running and gunning anymore, precise positioning now plays an even more important role than ever.

And yet, when “Ghosts” came out all Infinity Ward had to boast was a new leaning feature that was already present in the game since earlier installments, at least on the PC. Players were thoroughly unimpressed, which is why not a lot of people have high hopes for the next installment in the series developed by that studio.
