She had a five-season run for the ABC series “Brothers & Sisters,” and before that, she also spent five seasons on “Ally McBeal” for Fox.

She currently has a role on the season 2 of “Full Circle” on DirectTV but it is just for one or two episodes only and her upcoming stint in “Supergirl” would surely relive her TV heydays.

Interesting plotline

“Supergirl” will follow the adventures of Kara Zor-El as the other surviving member of the planet Krypton. Like her cousin Kal-El, she will initially pass herself off as a regular woman upon arriving on earth.

But unlike in “Smallville” where Superman started from his origin as a baby, “Supergirl” the TV series will begin when 20-something Kara decides to embrace her superpowers and become a warrior to battle evil, which is parallel to the premise of its sister TV series “Arrow” and “The Flash,” which are also of DC Comics origin.
