Brotherhood: Final Fantasy XV Is Now Available, Art Director Yusuke Naora Leaves Square Enix!

Brotherhood: Final Fantasy XV is anime prequel series to the upcoming JRPG coming from Square Enix. It is now complete and you can watch it online for free. The series comprises of five different 12-minute episodes and it begins parallel with the opening moments of the game.

The core Final Fantasy game has been delayed to November this year but in the official Final Fantasy XV YouTube channel, you will find the full Brotherhood series. It is Japanese but comes with subtitles in different languages.

Fans will get a chance to see the various environments and characters available in Final Fantasy XV and they have been rendered in a totally different medium of animation. There is a narrative purpose filled by Brotherhood.

The anime series explores the bond between Noctis, the main protagonist, his allies Prompto, Ignis and Gladiolus and provides insights into their relationships and personalities while revealing their backstories at the same time.

Brotherhood was announced back in March and within the game’s expanded world, it is a part of the cinematic universe. Combined with the CGI movie, ‘Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV’, players can learn the lore, history, and politics of the game before its release, through the new content.

For the hardcore devoted anime fans of this series, Brotherhood is known as an Original Net Animation, or ONA.

OVAs or Original Video Animations were adopted by Japanese Animation Studios when the home video started in their country. Thus, animators were freed from the chains of standards set in TV broadcasts. In the west, TV or film provideda straight-to-straight video which was mainly of poor quality.

Things were quite opposite in Japan, where OVAs came with bigger budgets and greater quality animation. OVAs have taken over as a way for studios to bring out niche or specialist content, thereby reaching a wider audience base worldwide. Soichi Masui is the director of Brotherhood and it has been written by Yuniko Ayana.

They are both veterans in the series. The YouTube episodes are offered at a maximum of 720p resolution. However, a full-HD Blu-Ray release of Brotherhood will be included with the Final Fantasy XV Ultimate Edition.

It will further include a bonus sixth episode, which is exclusive to that series. The Ultimate Edition is already sold out and there is no information on the separate release of the Blu-Ray content. One can hope that Square Enix won’t leave the fans hanging.

One of the most anticipated releases of this year is Final Fantasy XV. Players have been left highly excited with the recent release of Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV. After watching this, players were left wondering as to what can be offered by the original game releasing later.

A total of 40-minutes of gameplay were released by Square Enix and it gave gamers an idea regarding what they can expect in Final Fantasy XV, when it finally releases later this year. Gamers were very disappointed when Square Enix announced last summer that the release of the upcoming game would be delayed.

In the new gameplay videos, we can see a highly polished game when compared to previous videos that were showcased just a month ago. The Square Enix developers did a great job when they moved the release date and from the looks of it, the gamers loved it.
