The only thing we know for sure about the planned release date at the moment is that it’s supposed to be sometime next year, and while some critics expect the show to arrive in the earlier months of the year, nothing is set in stone right now.
We don’t expect to see any official reports about the show’s planned release date by the end of this year either, as these announcements tend to come after the new year rolls over and the holiday period has passed. It makes sense, as the producers would otherwise risk being swept away in a sea of noise, with all the other major revelations and releases coming out during that time.
Fans should stay tuned in January and February, as more information will likely become available around that time. We also wouldn’t be surprised if we saw a trailer or even a more in-depth look at what the new season will have to offer.
Until then, the few official statements we’ve seen about the new season so far all point towards an amazing experience, and everyone involved with the production seems excited about what’s coming up. What will happen beyond series 3 is not yet clear (and there are some negative reports on the horizon, in fact), but even if the show concludes there it should still end on a good note after a pretty strong run.
