Singer Britney Spears is worried that the recent heroic act of her younger sister to rescue a friend from a brawl would affect her career, as she is currently on the comeback trail.
The blonde singer’s 23-year-old sister Jamie was caught on video wielding a seven-inch bread knife after breaking up a fight in a sandwich shop that involves her friend, reports Yahoo! News.
In the video clip, Jamie was seen pointing the bread knife on a group of men after getting in the middle of a brawl that had her male friend earlier getting hit by a bottle in the head. Had she not intervened in the scuffle, her friend would have been hurt real bad as he was going up against a number of opponents.
It was not clear what or who started the scuffle but nearly everyone who saw the clip lauded Jamie for her heroic act in coming to the rescue of her friend.
Fearful of repercussions
Apparently, Britney Spears is not one of those who believe that her sister did a heroic act. For the 33-year-old singer, she thinks Jamie’s actuations or her seeming inclination towards violence would have a negative implication on her career as a musician.
A source close to the “Oops, I Did it Again” singer says that Britney was happy that her younger sister was not hurt after what she did in breaking up a fight, but she also thinks that Jamie went too far with the knife-waving and menacing looks and all.
The source adds that Britney is scared that the clip or the news about her sister might affect her image once again, which she is slowly building up from her infamous breakdown in 2007. The singer is reportedly worried that a family member of her would be branded again with a crazy behaviour just like she was more than seven years ago.
A changed person
But Britney Spears is a changed and more mature person now. Apart from working on reviving her music career, she is also taking more time with her sons by former ex-husband Kevin Federline, Jayden and Sean as a hands-on mother in their home in Las Vegas.
The singer has also found a new love in TV producer Charlie Ebersol and is hopeful that the relationship would be for keeps. Charlie is well-liked by her sons too.

Although the singer is still worried about the impact of Jamie’s recent run-in with trouble on her career, her friends assured her that she has nothing to worry about because people and fans are mature enough to see things and events happening around them with discerning opinions and views.
