It’s great to live in a time where modern science has made it possible to overcome many of the issues in our lives, especially cosmetic problems that aren’t actually physically threatening, but can cause a lot of harm to a person’s mentality in the long term, causing issues with confidence and other similar problems. Many women, for example, suffer from self-image issues related to their chest size – and Jade Hotchkiss from Nottingham was a more extreme example.
Her self-esteem was so bad, that she once had to leave her friends at the airport as they were about to head off on a holiday trip, just because she felt ashamed of her body. And now, thanks to a breast enlargement operation, she has regained her ability to show herself in public proudly and not worry about how she looks.
According to her own story, she had felt like a boy growing up, and this has always affected her self-esteem and prevented her from having a normal social life. Apparently, her breast enlargement has helped her in life in more ways than just her looks though – her newfound confidence has enabled her to get a boyfriend, and even a new job that she apparently enjoys a lot.
Previously, she had resorted to things like stuffing her bra with paper in order to get a fuller bust, but this apparently didn’t do much to help her self-esteem, as she still knew who she was underneath. As for the disastrous holiday trip, she revealed that she had actually been the only one to show up for the meeting wearing jeans, while other girls were freely showing off their bodies, and she couldn’t go on living like this anymore, so she started thinking about breast surgery after some time.
The money for the surgery came from her job as a waitress, which allowed her to save enough money over the course of three years so she could afford the surgery. After the procedure, she called her sister and parents to share her excitement with them, and they were apparently all supportive of her situation.
One thing she wanted to share with the world and other girls living in her situation, is that she wished she had told her family about her problems sooner, so they could be there for her. According to her, her family shared her sentiments and wished that she would have been more open about her situation. Still, everything turned out well in the end, and Jade Hotchkiss can now enjoy the life she has always wanted. All thanks to a procedure which remains highly controversial in some cultures, but is gaining more traction and social acceptance lately.
