We are as curious as most members of the community to see where the game will end up with all these patches – it’s certainly very popular now and it has a huge fan base, and as long as it keeps getting updated with new content, this trend should continue.
On the other hand, it’s also possible that the developers might slip up at some point and release an update that doesn’t please the fans that much, but of course that’s not an unsolvable issue as long as they get a fix out as quickly as they can manage, and they keep an eye out for feedback from the community in general.
Another thing to consider is that the game is dominating its genre right now, but this might not go on forever if the developers are not careful.
Copying ideas is nothing new in the gaming industry, and it’s one of the most commonly used practices by developers of all sizes, large and small. The huge success of this game means that many people are currently trying to come up with ways to implement its best features into their own games, and we wouldn’t be surprised if an actual clone of “Boom Beach” came up at some point and enjoyed a good deal of popularity.
