Boom Beach: What Do Players Want to See in the Next Version? And More

However, “Smash Land” didn’t see the kind of success Supercell were hoping for, and it was recently announced that the game will be shut down on September 1. Apparently, player numbers have been rather low, and the company has been having issues with the game ever since its release.

They’ve been trying to make it more popular and have been investing a lot into its marketing, from what we’re hearing, but to no avail – the game ended up attracting few people, and it looks like it’s simply beyond saving at this point.

However, according to Supercell, players have been mostly positive about the game during its lifetime, at least those who’ve stuck around for it – but the studio has had some troubles trying to get the game to reach the same level of quality as their other titles.

They didn’t want to continue running the game for no reason, just for the sake of keeping it alive, so they’ve decided to shut it down for good. As of now, the game isn’t even accepting any new in-game purchases anymore, so players can’t spend money on it. And as we said above, when September 1 rolls around, it will be completely inaccessible as the servers will be shut down. Sad, but hopefully Supercell have at least learned a lot from it for their next title.
