Some fans also consider “Boom Beach” to be the more polished of the two, claiming that it’s a natural continuation of the experiments performed by Supercell in the past with “Clash of Clans”, and that the new game resembles everything that works well with this type of gameplay.
On the other hand, “Clash of Clans” apparently has some mistakes which are too hard to fix at this point, according to those fans, and the studio simply decided to take a different approach and they designed another game which addressed those issues from the very beginning.
And now, this has created a divide in the communities of both games, as they draw different kinds of players looking for different features. Which is by no means a bad thing, it’s actually a benefit for Supercell as they’re able to more effectively target all of their potential players and not just a small set of them.
With that in mind, it’s interesting to think what might happen in the future, because right now it’s very likely that both “Clash of Clans” and “Boom Beach” are going to see some peculiar developments later on as both games continue to be drawn further and further apart and made even more unique. In a few months, they could be completely different from their current versions, and in a good way.
