Although the popular freemium mobile combat strategy game “Boom Beach” has been around for quite some time, its Finnish developer Supercell continues to walk gamers through via the official game forum on the game’s website or through its social media accounts on Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube.
Supercell’s strategy is one way of ensuring of keeping its millions of gamers interested to the mobile strategy game, along with its usual and regular updates.
The developer also makes it a point to post game tutorials on YouTube so that gamers would be able to get past any particular stage of the game which they find rather difficult or too challenging to complete.
One of the major focuses on the “Boom Beach” forum these days is the recruitment of new members, to help gamers overcome the hurdles posed by Lt. Hammerman as they all storm the beach and reclaim and take over one island after another.
Recruitment of members is the same as expanding one’s clan in the other popular mobile strategy game “Clash of Clans” also developed by Supercell. Apart from engaging another mobile gamer to get more interested in the game, recruitment helps in really promoting and ensuring that “Boom Beach” still remains in the list of Top 5 mobile games in the world today.
Having problems with updates
As a mobile game, whenever Supercell releases an update or updates to “Boom Beach” it always makes sure that it comes up with versions for the Apple Store for iOS devices users, the Google Play Store for Android mobile device users, and Windows Store for Windows phone users.
However, sometime last month, a gamer on an Android device, posted on Supercell’s game forum that he can’t update “Boom Beach” from the Google Play Store.
The gamer said that he has been playing “Boom Beach” for nearly a year now but for the first time ever, the October updates of the game did not come to his device quite as easy as it was in the past.
He explained that when he got to the Google Play Store and tried to update “Boom Beach,” he was not able to do it and there was a prompt that said ‘Your device is not compatible with this version of the update.’
The player said that he finds the experience very irritating because his Micromax Canvas 2 Colours with Android 4.4.2 KitKat has been running fine before the October updates for “Boom Beach,” but he appears to have hit a stonewall for some reason. He then sought the help of Supercell for his dilemma.
It seems that Supercell was able to promptly address the concern of the gamer shortly thereafter since he no longer made a subsequent post on the forum. While the developer has yet to announce or state what was the cause of the gamer’s problem, many believe that it is more of a technical issue of the device rather than the game itself.
Always open to gamer suggestions
What is also good about Supercell is that it is always open to the idea from gamers and critics on how it can further improve “Boom Beach.”
In fact, before it rolled out its updates last month, the developer actually hosted a Q&A session with fans and gamers on a public forum site.
Supercell received questions from fans and gamers regarding the rather massive updates that came to “Boom Beach” in October and how those made their gaming experience truly worth it.
In addition to explaining each and every detail of the updates, Supercell also informed fans and gamers how the features would keep the game fresh and dynamic.
Supercell has been helping out gamers, particularly the newbies, in hurdling key challenges and obstacles in the game so that they can level up and continue playing.
