Episode 1 of Season 6 of “Blue Bloods” is officially titled “Worst Case Scenario” where the Reagans led by their patriarch Police Commissioner Frank Reagan, played by veteran actor Tom Selleck, were shown working to stop a terrorist threat from blowing up New York City, coming on the heels of a similar incident in the Middle East.
The Reagans were once again on the front lines by putting their lives on the line in order to keep the city safe. Along with a team of detectives, Frank worked to prevent a terrorist attack of the same magnitude from happening in the Big Apple.
Eventually, they learned later from Frank’s assistant, Detective Abigail Baker, played by Abigail Hawk, that the same terrorist bombings took place in Bangladesh and London, which made Frank presume that the next target would be New York City.
Notwithstanding that it is already a high pressure and tense situation, Erin Reagan-Boyle, played by Bridget Moynahan, the daughter of Frank and the Executive Assistant District Attorney, further complicated matters when she starts confronting her father over his plan to raid an apartment rented by three Muslims.
Paranoia may have been creeping in on Frank in his sincere attempt to neutralize the threat to New York City but Erin was adamant over the strategy because of the move’s repercussion in the event that the police do not find a bomb in the apartment.
