Episode 18 of the American police procedural drama TV series “Blue Bloods” aired on April 1 on CBS and it featured Frank Reagan, played by Tom Selleck, and his son, Detective First Grade Danny Reagan, played by Donnie Wahlberg, working on a case involving an already rehabilitated ex-convict.
While there seems to be nothing unusual for the Reagans working on a case involving ex-cons, what makes the case rather unique is the fact that the ex-con is now involved in a murder, reports Celeb Dirty Laundry.
It can be recalled that back in episode 17, Jaime and Danny also clashed regarding the issue on how to deal with a brash rookie cop, who happens to be the son of Danny’s pal.
The 18th episode of “Blue Bloods” is titled “Town Without Pity” and it also showed Erin preparing for a trial before discovering that the alleged killer’s location is being kept secret by the former prosecutor on the case.
Cross purposes
The episode also showed Danny and his father, who happens to be the police commissioner, ending up at cross purposes. Apparently a man that Frank had known well and had also testified for in order for him to be released was accused of a brand new murder.
Danny thought that Nick Constantine was his guy while his father appeared to have had some doubts.
Nick is Frank’s first arrest so he had gotten to know the man before he was released after 20 years. Frank had been describing Nick as the model ex-con.
Meanwhile, Erin is trying to find Dr. Jeffery Durning to prosecute him for killing his wife Beth after his first trial ended in a hung jury. Erin threatens the previous prosecutor, Kathy Elliott, who now runs her own podcast to tell them where Jeffery is but she refuses, notes TV Fanatic.
Mindy, a witness in the case, tells Erin that Jeffery came and threatened her and that she told Kathy, the previous prosecutor, but she did nothing. Erin eventually gets a warrant to put a GPS tracker on Kathy’s car.
Photoshopped photo
Kathy eventually produces photos, supposedly of Beth in Columbia, but the photos were apparently photoshopped. She eventually agrees to turn over everything she has on Jeffrey in her files.
Jamie and Eddie eventually find Harry Clark already dead in his apartment. They also found tens of thousands of dollars in cash along with a letter saying he was sorry.
Eventually, Jamie talks to Henry and they focused on the money, which was like a judgment call. Henry knows that the administrator missed some of the cash in the apartment.
Danny and Jenko could have simply taken the money for themselves, but they were good cops so they notified everyone they were supposed to and also called a woman by the name of Sandi Harper, whose address had been on top of a letter that Harry had been trying to write. So ultimately they had done their jobs. But they just did not know then what to do with the money.
The city was technically supposed to claim the money but Jamie wanted to give it to Sandi who has been using the money being sent to her by Harry to put her autistic grandson in a private school.
Jamie and Jenko eventually figured out where Harry got his hands on so much cash. He was previously involved in a bank heist back in the day and Sandi’s husband had gotten killed that day.
All the alleged bank robbers have all died by now and the bank had also gone under back in 2008. So the only way that Jamie could resolve the issue is by telling Sandi that she had a couple of minutes to use Harry’s apartment to find a suit for him to wear.
When Season 6 of “Blue Bloods” premiered on CBS on September 25 last year, viewers were immediately put to the edge of their seats as the Reagan family of police officers began dealing with international terrorism, something that they have not done in the past seasons.
