Speaking to E! News, Alexander says that the new season of “Blindspot” will be a massive emotional roller coaster. She teases that fans will love the new characters that will be introduced in Season 2.
“The Good Wife” alum Archie Panjabi has already been cast to star in a recurring role in the upcoming season. She will play the head of a secret department in NSA.
Panjabi was photographed on set with cast members Ashley Johnson and Esparza. Spoilers suggest that Panjabi’s character will work closely with Patterson and Zapata in Season 2.
The second season will also tone down in terms of violence because it will now be shown at an earlier timeslot. The season premiere, on September 14, will still air at 10 pm, but the episodes after that will air at an earlier timeslot.
Gero says that the crime drama will not affect the show itself since it doesn’t revolve around violence entirely. He says they can now insert some comedy into it to balance the action and mystery.
Gero is confident that the second season, with an earlier timeslot and less violence, will still receive the same reception just as the pilot season did.
He adds the fact that Jane Doe’s real identity has not yet been revealed, is enough to entice fans to continue watching “Blindspot.”
