‘Blindspot’ Season 2 Teasers Hint an Unpleasant Reunion for Kurt and Jane; Sheds More Light on Reade and Zapata’s Relationship!

The second season of “Blindspot” will premiere in less than two weeks and it looks like things won’t be pleasant when Jamie Alexander’s Jane and Sullivan Stapleton’s Kurt see each other again.

Fans will remember that during the Season 1 finale, Weller arrested Jane. As per Yibada, there will be tension between the two in the upcoming season as Weller feels betrayed by Jane.

According to the Christian Post, the second season will pick up three months after the events of the Season 1 finale. Jane has been in a CIA black site and the rest of the FBI is still coming to terms that Jane was sort of a double agent and that she wasn’t Taylor Shaw.

The website notes that Jane thinks that Weller and his team pretty much turned her over to the CIA. Jamie says that her character has suffered so much because she was beaten almost every day.

Weller, on the other hand, shares the same feeling since he and his team find it difficult to trust Jane. Stapleton was recently spotted on the set of the NBC hit series.

Christina Kim, writer and producer for the show, shared a photo through Twitter of Sullivan talking to a staff member in between takes. The photo was taken on the show’s studio location in Brooklyn.

However, it looks like the tension will soon fade as new teasers reveal that by episode 4, Jane and Kurt’s feeling for one another will be brought to the front and center.

NBC has released the synopsis for episodes 1, 2, 4, and 5 for the second season of the crime drama. In the season premiere, Jane will be looking for Shepherd who was responsible for erasing her memories.

Jane and Kurt’s reunion will occur by the second episode wherein they will work together. Rob Brown’s Reade will build a case against Coach Jones.

Back in the first season, Jane found out that Jones was connected to the championship numbers that are tattooed on her body.

The fourth episode will center on Jane and Kurt’s feelings for one another while the fifth episode will revolve around a US marshall and a senator’s case. Kurt will reportedly be promoted in the same episode.

The upcoming season will also introduce more information about Audrey Esparza’s Zapata and Reade’s relationship before they met Weller and worked for the FBI.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Martin Gero said that there will be an emotional storyline between the two characters that fans will surely love.

Zapata and Reade almost had a falling out after the latter felt that the special agent was hiding something from him. Reade was known for being protective of his team that’s why he usually appears to pry into their lives.

Back in Season 1, Zapata was involved with Thomas Carter, who promised to pay all her debts in exchange for information about Jane Doe. She took the deal with Thomas and kept it a secret from the whole team.

Reports suggest that the emotional storyline between Tasha and Reade is because he and the rest of the team will come to know Zapata’s secret.

Gero says that Zapata will be thrilled to work with Jane again in the upcoming episodes, but things will probably change once she, Reade, and Patterson find out that it was Jane who killed their boss, Bethany Mayfair.

The showrunner also confirms that Jane’s real name will be revealed in the first two episodes of the new season. He promised fans that new information about Jane will be unveiled, and this time around it will be real.

Pressed for more spoilers, Gero says that Jane’s real name starts with A.
