Indicative of how widely-watched the TV series is, its pilot episode debuted to more than 10.6 million viewers and has consistently held high ratings among audiences.
Aside from a top-rating TV series, “Blindspot” is also a critically-acclaimed show. It received mostly positive reviews from critics, scoring a 66% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes, and 65 out of 100 on Metacritic.
Martin Gero’s unique premise for a crime drama TV series can be attributed to the phenomenal success of Season 1 of “Blindspot.” Fans and viewers certainly enjoy the dramatic fate of an amnesiac woman whose only connection to her past is the multiple tattoos on her body.
In fact, “Blindspot” has attracted more viewers than any other show on the small screen during the previous fall and with its compelling plotline, the show is expected to carry through. While Season 2 may be a different story, plot-wise, the fact that viewers had a great time with its premiere season means that the excitement and enthusiasm shall be possibly sustained.
NBC made the announcement of the show’s renewal for Season 2 just before Christmas giving the cast members and the millions of viewers of “Blindspot” the perfect Holiday gift.
I’m a little confused about the first show of season 2. Will Jane ever have a chance to tell her side of the story? I realize that she has done a few terrible things, but she’s also being blamed for a lot that she didn’t do, or even know about. Also, why would she take the blame for Mayfair’s death, or is that what the team assumes?
