‘Blindspot’ Season 1B May Help Uncover or Further Muddle the Mysterious Past of Jane Doe!

When the second half of Season 1 of the American crime drama TV series “Blindspot” returned to NBC on February 29 for its episode 11 entitled “Cease Forcing Enemy,” it featured the mysterious Oscar, played by Francois Arnaud, claiming to know the mysterious past of Jane Doe, played by Jaimie Alexander.

Oscar claimed that he knows Jane Doe and her real name is Taylor Shaw and that it was the FBI who was responsible for causing her amnesia.

He also told her that he knows her that well because he was her boyfriend and that she was actually the one who worked on erasing her own memory to protect herself. Only the tattoos all over her body leave clues to her mysterious past.

Oscar also told Jane/Taylor to trust him because they will work together in retrieving her complete memory, leaving FBI Agent Kurt Weller, played by Sullivan Stapleton, out in the cold.

However, fans and viewers of “Blindspot” believe that the existence of Oscar may instead contribute in further muddling the past of Jane Doe rather than help her get her memory back. Some have the opinion that the sudden emergence of Oscar is meant as a twist to the great storytelling of “Blindspot.”

Because of Oscar’s claims, Jane/Taylor has since been working closely with him even though at the onset, she did not believe him. In fact, Oscar had to strap her to a platform and forcefully made her watch a video of Taylor.

The person in the video even said that while it may be hard for her to trust Oscar, the same person also claims that Oscar is merely following the instruction which she gave herself before she succumbed to amnesia, details the Christian Post.

A love triangle?

There are also reports saying that the second half of Season 1 of “Blindspot” may feature the possible love triangle among Oscar, Jane, and Kurt.

However, showrunner Martin Gero said that a triangle would indeed develop among the three but it will not be anything romantic. It would be more about competing for Jane’s attention because suddenly, Kurt is no longer the person who understands her the most as there is Oscar who claims to know her a lot better.

But Jane is still skeptical of Oscar and so is Kurt. So the second half of Season 1 of “Blindspot” may help Jane uncover her mysterious past or it can be muddled up some more with what Oscar is bringing to her.

The premise of “Blindspot” was both simple and very interesting. It focuses on a mysterious tattooed woman who was suddenly found in New York Times Square all naked. She has obviously lost her memory and does not know her own identity that is why she is referred to as Jane Doe. The FBI eventually discovers that each tattoo contains a clue to a crime that they will have to solve.

The FBI begins to follow the tattoos on her body as a road map into a larger and even more complex conspiracy. Detectives try to piece together the clues of each tattoo to solve crimes and help her discover the truth about her own identity, details Premiere Date.

Renewed for Season 2

While on its midseason break after airing its 10th episode on November 23, 2015, “Blindspot” has been renewed for Season 2, which only indicates that NBC is recognizing its good ratings and great storytelling.
