Season 2 of the American crime drama TV series “Blindspot” on NBC is currently on its winter hiatus after airing its ninth episode on November 16. The TV series will return to the small screen on January 4, 2017 with a slam-bang episode that is guaranteed to keep viewers at the edge of their seat.
Prior to the midseason finale, there were reports saying that a major character from the show will die but that did not happen as the show instead left a major cliffhanger, particularly putting at risk the life of FBI agent Patterson, played by Ashley Johnson.
The upcoming 10th episode of “Blindspot” Season 2 is entitled “Nor I, Nigel, AKA Leg in Iron,” and it will feature that Patterson has gone missing and her life seems to be in danger.
It can be recalled that Patterson was also kidnapped in episode 1 but she managed to escape her captor with the help of Kurt Weller, played by Sullivan Stapleton, and Jane Doe, played by Jaimie Alexander.
However, based on the spoilers for the upcoming 10th episode of “Blindspot” Season 2, it is not certain whether Patterson would make it out alive in her latest ordeal or no longer.
The teaser also confirmed that there will be at least one character death in the midseason premiere of “Blindspot” Season 2, leaving fans guessing who could it be. But as it is, Patterson is in the front and center of the danger so it is most likely a misdirect from the showrunners and writers and a different character would be killed off instead.
Erasing his memories
The teaser also showed Jane Doe’s brother Roman, played by Luke Mitchell, having a major issue in the upcoming 10th episode of “Blindspot.”
Back in episode 9, Jane erased the memories of Roman by injecting him with Zip, so a memory-less Roman will be out on the loose which would potentially endanger himself as well as other FBI people.
In a recent disclosure, co-showrunner Alex Berger confirmed that the relationship of Jane and Roman will be put to a further test in the upcoming episode of “Blindspot.”
He explained that the relationship between the siblings was hanging by a thread going into the fall finale of the show. But in order for the FBI and Jane Doe to stop Sandstorm, she needs Roman to recover part of his memories. However, if he remembers that it was Jane who injected her with Zip, their relationship would be strained for good.
It is possible that it would be Shepherd, played by Michelle Hurd, who would be killed off in the next episode as the teaser also showed that Jane and Kurt will be teaming up again to take her down and her Sandstorm organization.
To be affected by the sibling conflict
Some fans speculate that the conflict between Jane and her brother Roman will have something to do with Kurt Weller since he might have a hard time dealing with the new Roman in the upcoming episode.
Considering how she values Roman as an ally, there is no doubt that Jane sees Roman as more than just a brother. However, there are theories that Roman will not be glad about Jane erasing his memories.
Roman is a member of Sandstorm and keeps unlimited classified information that is valuable to the FBI. It is speculated that after Jane Doe erased his memories, Kurt will still be able to get information from Roman, putting the siblings in a rather complicated situation, reports Breathecast.
During the ninth episode of “Blindspot” Season 2, entitled “Why Let Cooler Pasture Deform,” Jane tipped off the FBI about Sandstorm’s plan to attack.
As expected, her betrayal of the criminal organization was discovered by Roman, who appears to be not loyal at all to her and informed Shepherd and the Sandstorm about her betrayal. So Jane was forced to inject Zip to Roman to erase his memories.
