‘Big Hero 7’ Featuring Tadashi Hamada as a Villainous Character is Unacceptable to Fans!

The sequel to the 2014 animated hit “Big Hero 6” has yet to be confirmed by Disney but speculations regarding its plotlines and cast of characters have been aplenty on the internet.

What seems fairly consistent in the rumors is that Tadashi Hamada, the brother of Hiro, the main protagonist of “Big Hero 6,” shall reportedly come back in the sequel to become Sunfire, a Marvel comics superhero character.

It can be recalled that Tadashi Hamada was the original creator of the robot Baymax which was later finetuned by Hiro. Tadashi died during an explosion at the science expo in “Big Hero 6.”

Accordingly, Tadashi survived the explosion because of some invention in the science expo that turned him into Sunfire.

Does not suit well with fans

But having Tadashi Hamada as a villainous character in “Big Hero 7” does not suit well with the fans, with many of them saying that it is an unacceptable plotline.

However, having Tadashi as the villain Sunfire in “Big Hero 7” is just half the story because apparently, he and Hiro would be able to patch their differences eventually and the former shall then join the group to become its seventh member. That is precisely the reason why the movie is to be titled “Big Hero 7,” details Movie News Guide.

But all these remain as speculations pending the confirmation from Disney who has yet to state whether the sequel to “Big Hero 6” is a go or no go.

The rumors about the possible sequel to “Big Hero 6” emanated from the statement made by Marvel Comics director Stan Lee when he said in an interview last year that after “Ant-Man,” they are going to start playing around with “Doctor Strange,” “Black Panther,” “Inhumans” and then they have to come back for “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2,” “Big Hero 6,” “Avengers,” and “Captain America.”

Obviously, Stan Lee mixed everything up so as to throw off speculations. As everyone knows, “Ant-Man” came out of the theaters in June of last year while the third “Captain America” movie was shown in May this year.

A 2019 or 2020 release date

The “Avengers” movie that Lee included in the list is likely the two-part “Avengers: Infinity War” whose release dates have already been confirmed for 2018 and 2019.

“Doctor Strange” is set to debut in November this year and its first official trailer came out during the showing to global theaters of “Captain America: Civil War” shown in May.

“Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” already has an April 2017 playdate while the “Black Panther” will hit global cinemas on July 6, 2018.

Given these timelines of release dates, it is possible that Stan Lee shall be able to work on the sequel to “Big Hero 6” after the work on “Avengers: Infinity War” which would most likely be finished in 2018.

Thus, it is likely that “Big Hero 7” will come out to theaters in 2019 at the earliest, with 2020 being the farthest release date.

However, these remain as speculations pending the confirmation from Marvel Studios or Disney Pictures or both.

Meanwhile, the other confirmation for the possible production of “Big Hero 7” came from voice actress Genesis Rodriguez, who lent her voice to the character Honey Lemon, one of the members of Big Hero 6.

She was quoted as saying in a recent interview that she is already excited to go back to the studio with the rest of the voice cast, reports Chatt Sports Net.

Big Hero 7

“Big Hero 6” Director Chris Williams recently explained that no sequel will ever get made unless the directors want one and feel strongly that there is a story that needs to be told.

He added that if it is not a great story, it won’t be a great movie, adding that the crew deserves a great story.

Williams also added that they also have to consider the big expectations from the audience who mostly grew up with Disney animation.
