That would indeed be an interesting plot twist and something that could definitely get fans excited for the new film, but hopefully “Big Hero 7” will also have some redeeming qualities when it comes to its humor, because otherwise the film might be a disappointment to some of those who liked the original “Big Hero 6”.
The studio is well aware of what their fans like and don’t like though, and we have confidence that if they’re working on a new installment, they’re doing so with one eye constantly focused on discussion boards and online communities.
Because it’s quite easy to see what fans of the original are interested in seeing with just one quick glance at some prominent online discussion boards, and while most people really are calling for more drama and excitement, others just want to see their favorite characters back in any form.
Whatever is being planned, the earliest speculated release date for the film is in 2018, so there’s a lot of time for its producers to figure out where they want to take it. It’s entirely possible that the current speculations are based on initial ideas that were scrapped (or could be scrapped), and until we’ve seen some more official discussions about the plot and characters of “Big Hero 7”, we shouldn’t treat those speculations as a guarantee.
