Some have tried to spin the issue from a different angle, bringing racial conflicts into the picture. According to people who had showed up to support Beyonce in the protests against her, the core of the problem was related to racism.
Those same people were reportedly not very surprised by the lack of attendance at the protest, claiming that it’s much easier to be a racist behind the safety of one’s computer, but it was a different story when someone has to defend those views in person.
But according to some, it’s probably best to look at the situation as several separate issues, instead of one big mess tied together. Police brutality is something that should be addressed, and racism is obviously a negative factor in society, but one issue can’t be resolved by “blaming” the other, especially when they are both such sensitive ones.
We are likely going to see a lot more discussion about this situation in the near future, and we are certain that this is not the end of the story. Whether or not Beyonce herself is going to address things in more detail is hard to say, although we wouldn’t be surprised if the singer decided to become even more active and outspoken in her views after this incident, and to make even more appearances in a similar tone.
