No one does it better than Queen Bey and she once again delivered a flawless performance at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans on September 24 as part of her Formation World Tour.
Just like her previous concert performances, the show was typically Beyonce as it was heavily-orchestrated, glittering with couture costumes, filled with fit dancers moving in unison, and highlighted by occasional bursts of fireworks, details Nola.com
She has been on the road for the last six months traveling the world for her sell-out Formation World Tour and on the final stretch, she appears to have the energy to keep going for many more months.
Beyonce looked and performed incredibly well during her latest concert that had the crowd in the palm of her hands just like the many shows before it.
Queen Bey flaunted her gorgeous figure in tiny gold two-piece and she was performing with shapely dancers her catalog of chart-topping hits, details the Daily Mail.
At 35 years old, and a mother of one, Beyonce still has plenty of gas left in her tank and showed girls how to rule the world with her killer curves that she squeezed into a sequinned gold cropped top and pants.
She really proved to everyone that she is deserving of every inch of her music superstar status that no other in the current generation can or is daring to match.
Looking very sensational
Even in her next costume change, Beyonce looked sensational as she donned a Tudor style black basque which highlighted her cleavage. She also donned a black Fedora hat to match the ensemble.
The waist was nipped in to hug her curves even more as she put both hands on her hips for her alluring dance sequence from her controversial “Lemonade” album.
Beyonce’s meticulous control over her performances and public persona has become a fascinating and perplexing thing for those who have followed her. In recent years, she has slowly retreated from interviews and most chances at public spontaneity.
It’s a separation that has often come across viscerally in her recent music videos and the ones that screened on a monumental lighted box at center stage in the Superdome
Her level of control in her performance once again highlighted Beyonce’s art and message, which is deeply, personally, and unequivocally her own.
There is no doubt that she has been and still is on top of her game and it would a long while before her passion for such will fade or even diminish.
She said it all during her performance when she was quoted as saying that it was the night that she has been waiting for in New Orleans. She added that it is a special night for her, a special night for her fans which she referred to as her queens.
A two-hour spectacle
It was another night where the Queen Bey slayed the audience and the venue because her performance was quite a slayer.
She actually began her two-hour slay-fest with the first single from her latest album, “Formation,” that had the audience screaming and obliging with her.
Beyonce was introduced in the show by the Queen Diva herself, Big Freedia, who said that New Orleans came that night to the concert to be slayed.
She said that she did not come to the event to play, adding that she likes cornbread and collard greens. She said that she came to be slayed and everyone should be prepared to be slayed as well.
True enough, they were all slayed by that splendid performance from Queen Bey. Satisfied and contented as they were, most of the audience felt that two hours were still not enough to enjoy the night with Beyonce.
Big Freedia was just one of the many images of New Orleans during the night. Since the release of her “Formation” music video, Beyonce’s work has been sprinkled with local touches, and she most recently dedicated an MTV Music Video Award to the city’s residents.
