Bryan Cranston has long been rumored to make an appearance in the American crime drama TV series “Better Call Saul” on AMC. As every fan of the “Breaking Bad” TV series knows, Cranston played the iconic role of Walter White in the parent show of “Better Call Saul,” so it is kind of expected that he would eventually appear in the prequel series.
In a recent appearance on “The Rich Eisen Show,” Bryan Cranston hinted that he might come in on “Better Call Saul” initially but not to reprise his Walter White character but most likely as a director.
He confirmed that he was offered to helm an episode of “Better Call Saul” Season 3 but he has yet to decide whether he will do it or not. He added that he has an opportunity to direct an episode of “Better Call Saul” and he is debating whether he wants to or not because he too is a fan of the show.
Cranston said that as a fan of the show and being given the opportunity to direct an episode, he will get to know something about the show that no fans know, details the Christian Times.
He elaborated that accepting the directing gig would kill it for him as a fan because he would definitely peek behind the curtain.
Prefers coming in as Walter White
However, it seems that he will have no qualms if he is asked to come into the show as Walter White.
He told Rich Eisen that if he is asked to slip into his Walter White character, he said that the producers do not have to finish the pitch because he will be there and will immediately ask them what they wanted him to do.
But it seems that it would not happen yet on Season 3 of “Better Call Saul” considering that Jimmy McGill, played by Bob Odenkirk, has yet to transform to becoming Saul Goodman.
However, fans of the TV series can look forward to seeing the drug kingpin cum restaurateur Gus Fring, played by Giancarlo Esposito, in the upcoming third season of “Better Call Saul.”
Gus Fring’s return was teased in the previous season and the first letter of the title of the episodes even spelled out his name.
Another transformation
It will not just be Jimmy McGill who will be transforming into his darker self in Saul Goodman in the upcoming Season 3 of “Better Call Saul.”
Latest reports have it that Kim Wexler, played by Rhea Seehorn, the girlfriend of Jimmy, will find herself being hounded by a moral dilemma and she will eventually yield to her dark side.
Accordingly, Kim will be up to no good in Season 3 of “Better Call Saul” notwithstanding her propensity to cut corners and make bold and sly schemes just like Jimmy McGill does.
Kim shall be facing a moral quandary and may eventually yield to the dark side as she joins Jimmy who is all set to metamorphose into Saul Goodman.
In fact, there are reports that Kim and Jimmy might put up a business between them although no details have been revealed about the kind of business that they shall be engaging in.
But in a recent interview, Rhea Seehorn said that she has no idea what the writers of “Better Call Saul” have in store for Kim Wexler in Season 3.
She said that she is very excited for the third season of the popular TV series and shared that there is a lot of leeway with where the writers could go.
Seehorn added that she is confident that everything about Kim Wexler is not being put on the table so that the showrunners can decide on what direction to take the same way they did for the very successful and highly-acclaimed parent series “Breaking Bad.”
