Hopefully the producers of the show aren’t going to drop the ball on it, as they’ve managed to handle it in a great way so far, despite the huge waves of skepticism they faced at first.
It was understandable why fans were so upset with the idea in the first place though, as “Breaking Bad” was easily one of the biggest hits that television had ever seen, and anything related to the show was guaranteed to be examined under a microscope.
The producers of “Better Call Saul” seem to know exactly what their fans wanted to see from a show like this though, and they’ve been working in the right direction since the beginning. Some fans were complaining that things were moving a bit too slow at first, but that’s actually an important aspect of the show.
After all, a character as complex as Saul Goodman can’t be easily explored in just a couple of episodes, and the producers needed some time to bring him up to speed and match his behavior from “Breaking Bad”. But in the end, seeing where Saul Goodman actually came from was the whole point of the show, and watching him do his thing from “Breaking Bad” would probably defeat the idea to a large extent. but on the other hand, that’s also where things are apparently going in season 3, and we might be getting close to seeing the familiar face of Saul Goodman pretty soon.
