‘Better Call Saul’ Season 3 Bryan Cranston Accepts Challenge to Direct an Episode of Hit Show!

If it would be up to actor Bryan Cranston, he would rather come into the third season of the American crime drama TV series “Better Call Saul” on AMC as Walter White, the character he played in the critically-acclaimed and commercially-successful parent show, “Breaking Bad.”

Unfortunately for him and his plans, the executive producers have other ideas for him as Cranston shall reportedly come in as a director of at least one episode of “Better Call Saul” Season 3.

In a recent interview, the 60-year-old actor confirmed that he was indeed offered a directorial job for “Better Call Saul” Season 3.

He explained that he would have an opportunity to direct an episode of “Better Call Saul” but he is debating in his thoughts whether he would accept it or not because he is a fan of the show. He cited that in order to direct an episode of “Better Call Saul,” he would have to know something that no fan of the show knows.

Cranston shared that he needs to go back and the producers and showrunners would tell him what is going to happen leading up to the episode. He added that there is a part of him that would say it would kind of kill the excitement for him being a fan of the TV series himself, notes Mobile & Apps.

His champion for the Walter White role

The actor believes that he shall eventually appear in the TV series as Walter White considering that “Better Call Saul” is a prequel of “Breaking Bad.”

Cranston said that he has already considered about becoming a full-time cast member on “Better Call Saul” because he owes it to Vince Gilligan, citing the showrunner as his champion to be able to land the Walter White role.

In fact, if Vince and Peter Gould, the other showrunner, would call him and ask him to do something for them, they don’t have to finish the pitch because he is already there and would be ready to do whatever they ask him to do.

“Better Call Saul” Season 3 is expected to return to the small screen in February next year and even this early, fans and critics are already looking forward to the show and expecting to finally see the transformation of Jimmy McGill, played by Bob Odenkirk, into Saul Goodman.

A lot of leeway

Rhea Seehorn, who plays lawyer Kim Wexler and girlfriend of Jimmy McGill, in a recent interview, said that because of the Season 2 finale, there is a lot of leeway with where the third season of “Better Call Saul” could go, notes iDigital Times.

While she made it clear that she does not have an idea of what the writers have in store for the future episodes of “Better Call Saul” Season 3, she presented some intriguing possibilities nonetheless.

She cited that good and bad is not the same as legal and illegal all the time. She added that unfortunately, it does not always line up that way. Seehorn explained that all the characters are just sort of struggling with dealing with the fact that life simply is not just black and white.

But fans of the TV series can look forward to seeing the drug kingpin cum restaurateur Gus Fring, played by Giancarlo Esposito, in the upcoming third season of “Better Call Saul.”

Gus Fring’s return was teased in the previous season and the first letter of the title of the episodes even spelled out his name.

Better Call Saul Season 2

It will not just be Jimmy McGill who will be transforming into his darker self in Saul Goodman in the upcoming Season 3 of “Better Call Saul.”

Latest reports have it that Kim Wexler will find herself being hounded by a moral dilemma and she will eventually yield to her dark side.

Accordingly, Kim will be up to no good in Season 3 of “Better Call Saul” notwithstanding her propensity to cut corners and make bold and sly schemes just like Jimmy McGill does.
