‘Better Call Saul’ Season 2 to be Aired on AMC and Streamed on Netflix Early Next Year!

While a number of TV series this year have been looking for a network or a streaming service to rescue them from cancellation, the American crime drama TV series “Better Call Saul” is enjoying the opposite.

It is one of the very few shows on the small screens these days that shall be aired both on a cable channel and on a streaming service next year.

The spinoff of the critically-acclaimed TV series “Breaking Bad,” “Better Call Saul” will have its Season 2 episodes streamed on Netflix beginning on February 16, 2016 right after its season premiere on AMC. Instead of featuring the whole Season 2 in one sitting the way it normally does to its other TV series, Netflix will just stream a new episode of “Better Call Saul” per week, details Crossmap.

The second season of “Better Call Saul” will have a total of 10 episodes just like its Season 1 but AMC actually ordered 13 so the network would most likely content itself with 10 since the producers of the popular TV series will not go beyond its guaranteed big episodes for Season 2.

A promising TV series

Critics describe “Better Call Saul” as one of the most promising shows that have made it into the small screens this year with its premiere season.

Things will only get better for the TV series as Season 2 promises a more action-packed plotline where fans are sure to go for a roller coaster ride with show protagonist Jimmy McGill as he slowly transforms into the ruthless Saul Goodman, notes the Christian Post.

It can be recalled that Season 1 ended with a huge cliffhanger as Jimmy, played by Bob Odenkirk, was left in the middle of a crossroad to ponder whether to walk the straight path or take the wide path which would lead him to his dark side.

Showrunner Peter Gould said that Jimmy McGill’s journey in Season 2 will take surprising and left-handed turns and that he would go to places viewers never ever expected him to go to. The hint is obvious that it would be the season of the TV series where Jimmy will transform into Saul Goodman.

Show’s first trailer

The first trailer for the upcoming Season 2 of “Better Call Saul” on AMC has just made its way to the small screens early this month, courtesy of Netflix, but not much has been seen as far as new scenes for the second season are concerned.

Instead, the new trailer only showed some scenes from Season 1 before a sharp shot of Jimmy McGill in the final seconds put it into a wrap.

It remains unclear what the showrunner and the producers wanted to deliver to the viewers, but it is likely a foreboding that the lover of good and right in Jimmy will start turning into a whole new different person in Season 2.

Every fan of “Better Call Saul,” the spinoff TV series of the very successful American crime drama TV series “Breaking Bad,” knows that Jimmy McGill will eventually transform to become Saul Goodman. The only question is when and how, which the upcoming second season of “Better Call Saul” may provide answers to.

The first season saw McGill doing everything in his power to stay on the right track, despite being caught up between his conscience and the whims of twisted morality.

Better Call Saul Seson 2

During the Season 1 finale, McGill returned to Chicago in search of Marco, played by Mel Rodriguez, only to find his long-lost friend in the very same spot where he left him, but already a different person altogether.

Chuck, played by Michael McKean, has made Jimmy doubt that his straight path was a dream. He said the Kettlemans simply do not want to put their trust on him, which had Jimmy broken and frustrated.
