‘Better Call Saul’ Season 2 Officially Starts Filming; B29 Bomber Plane Spotted on the Set!

“Better Call Saul” is the prequel of the multi-awarded crime drama series “Breaking Bad.” The parent series ended its run after five seasons in 2013.

The series follows the story of Odenkirk’s Saul Goodman six years prior to his appearance as Walt and Jesse’s lawyer on “Breaking Bad.” Events after the original series are also briefly explored.

The events of the spinoff series are set in 2002 with Goodman still under the guise of James Morgan McGill. Just like its parent show, events of the prequel are set in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Under the same showrunners of “Breaking Bad,” the first season of “Better Call Saul” premiered in February and ended in April this year. The season consisted of 10 episodes. The second season is set to premiere early next year and will consist of 13 episodes.

Much like its mother show, the pilot season of “Better Call Saul” garnered a lot of positive reviews and commercial reception.

It also has been nominated for several awards and even brought home the Critics’ Choice Award for Best Lead Actor in a Drama Series for Odenkirk.

Because of this, AMC has already announced in June that they have already sealed the deal for the show’s third season slated to air in 2017, Ecumenical News reports.
