It has been hyped since last year that Season 2 of “Better Call Saul” on AMC would feature the transformation of Jimmy McGill to Saul Goodman.
While the first few episodes of the second season of “Better Call Saul” have alluded to Jimmy’s possible transformation to his darker side, his character appears to be having last-minute second thoughts.
During the filming of the recent episodes of the second season of “Better Call Saul,” Odenkirk was asked when viewers will see Walter White making his cameo appearance in the TV series.
Odenkirk said that fans and critics should stop hoping that Walter White of “Breaking Bad” will appear in “Better Call Saul.” He said that “Breaking Bad” has not happened yet on the timeline of “Better Call Saul,” and that the spinoff TV series is full and complex. He also describes the show as having different stakes, helluva unique, and a rich experience.
When asked further who among the “Breaking Bad” characters will be appearing on “Better Call Saul,” Odenkirk said that it could be none or all of them. He said that what is important for now is that he and his character is on the show so fans and viewers should join him instead.
