Bethesda are a studio surrounded by lots of rumors and mystery right now – between “Fallout 4”, “The Elder Scrolls 6” and “Dishonored 2”, the studio can’t catch much of a break. Gaming communities keep talking about all those games and the possibility of seeing them announced by the studio, either at E3 or at some point before that, but it’s becoming less and less likely that we’re going to see “Dishonored 2” at this point. On the other hand, there have been lots of rumors about “Fallout 4”.
Meanwhile, the studio also started teasing about a new installment in the “Doom” franchise, which would also generate a lot of hype once it’s out. It’s not clear if that’s what they will be showing in detail during their E3 presentation, but currently, there are some strong indications that the game we will see there is actually “Fallout 4”.
There are still a couple of weeks to go until then though, and the rumors are likely going to grow stronger and stronger by the day. We don’t expect Bethesda themselves to spoil the big revelation, as they are probably enjoying all the hype right now, and with good reason. However, they could still drop some hints about their plans in a way that doesn’t spoil anyone’s fun – we’ll have to wait and see.
If the current rumors are true though, fans might be a bit disappointed by the way the game is actually shown. According to some alleged inside sources, the studio isn’t planning to show “Fallout 4” to the public, but rather in a closed presentation to members of the press. However, they are allegedly still planning to show a lot of the game’s content, so even if that rumor is true we should still get to see a lot of information published in the press in the following days.
“Dishonored 2” still gets mentioned in those rumors every now and then, but it’s currently claimed that it will only be shown as a short teaser as there is not much to be shown about the game in the first place. Bethesda haven’t confirmed that they’re working on a sequel to “Dishonored” yet, so that would be the first official confirmation by the studio if there is some teaser about the game at E3.
Last but not least, some minor rumors have even talked about “Wolfenstein” as a possible announcement at E3, but we haven’t seen any indication that there is anything new to show in that franchise right now. Still, it would definitely be a nice surprise, as the last “Wolfenstein” was received quite well.
