Fans of the Dishonored video game franchise have been waiting for a long time for some news regarding any sequel. We are waiting and waiting for Dishonored 2 to hit the gaming world soon. The first Dishonored took the industry by storm and resulted in a huge growing popularity all over the world. The story of revenge against the wrongs done has become an all-time favorite all over the world.
However, till now, Arcane and Bethesda have kept quite regarding any possible sequel for this franchise but the only form of redemption is the few hints that have come our way. Firstly, rumors are circulating that an official announcement will be made in any one of the two upcoming events. It could be the VGA (Video Game Awards) or also the E3. Bethesda is well known for announcing the biggest projects in E3. As a result, its stands to reason that any form of announcement at the VGAs should be a teaser or a genuine hint regarding the game.
It would lead to fans getting more and more impatient and drive their thoughts up the wall. The only other form of plausible hints is clues that were identified from job postings for the company. Experts feel that this indicates that the company is looking for a good development team in order to work on Dishonored 2.
From all of these clues, gaming speculators around the world have come to a lot of speculations regarding its title, plot and story among others. According to the most recent rumors, the game will be called Dishonored: Darkness Of Tyvia. However, fans are so impatient right now that any title would work. We think that a title like Dishonored 2: Thank Goodness We Can Play The Game or something like Dishonored 2: It’s Finally Done will actually suffice!
This cat and mouse situation with the sequels, initiated by video game developers around the world, does have its many perks. It builds up a credible amount of hype and also keeps the buzz going. It’s a form of marketing without using the mouth. However, it keeps the fan base speculating and circulating rumors from which the developers can gauge as to what they should and shouldn’t do. Gamescom held in August 2014 didn’t reveal anything substantial and at E3, a trivial factsheet was shown which still kept the fans and industry in utter darkness.
Obviously, fans and critics around the world are chiming in to provide their opinions on how the overall game should be. The gaming community wants notable improvements in characters, gameplay, graphics and story among others.
