The new season 4 of “2 Broke Girls” is going quite well, and the producers have managed to pack it full of interesting surprises for fans who follow the show regularly. So far, viewers have seen Max and Caroline trying – not very successfully – to launch their cupcake business, and their struggle has continued throughout most of the season. Now, with a few episodes left in the season, actress Beth Behrs has given some hints about what fans could expect to see until the end.
According to her, the work she has to put into her role has been surprisingly difficult in some aspects, and she has had to work a lot in order to deliver good results for certain scenes. She claimed that most of the time, the show’s filming actually involves some serious physical work, which can be quite exhausting not only for her, but for everyone on the set, including those who aren’t directly being filmed.
One particular example that she gave in her interview was the episode that featured a dye war between her and Dennings. The episode was received quite well by most fans and it seemed to entertain viewers of the show nicely, but things were apparently not that fun behind the scenes. The scene with the dye wars alone took fourteen hours to complete, and the actress claimed that she felt completely exhausted by the time they were done.
She also went on to give some potential spoilers for the new season, although she didn’t reveal anything particularly detailed. From what the interview shows, there are apparently even more physically intensive situations like this one coming up, and the filming of the current season has been overall challenging – but also apparently quite fun.
In fact, it appears that the producers of the show were well aware of the harsh requirements that acting in it entails, as they were actually focusing on that aspect during the casting process. Combined with the fact that this was the first time Behrs was in the spotlight of a show, the producers really wanted to make sure that she was suitable for the role, and went through a lot of trouble to guarantee that before finally allowing her to play the part.
So far, it seems that they have struck gold with their casting choice though, as all fans of the show have been delighted by Behrs’ performance and the way she portrays Caroline. The character has been cited as one of the main points of attraction to the show for many fans, and the producers picked up on that early on and developed her in a very likeable way.
