No hatchback version
Despite the clamor of Subaru car owners in the US, the Japanese carmaker will not be coming up with the five-door hatchback model for its upcoming 2016 WRX and WRX STI editions when the sports sedans finally rolls out to the American motoring retail markets soon.
It seems like the decision of the Japanese carmaker has something to do with production schedules and timetable.
As the 2016 Subaru WRX and WRX STI editions will be manufactured at the company’s plant in Japan, the carmaker would be hardpressed to meet the production demands for the Forester, the Outback, the XV Crosstrek, and the Levorg if it will still produce the hatchback model of its WRX STI sports sedan.
Accordingly, the decision to drop the hatchback is meant to add space on the production line for their other hot-selling vehicle lineups all over the world.
