If you ask international designer Lidia Bersani, yacht owning is a male-dominated world. She plans to change that by coming up with a design for a $106 million superyacht that is exclusively for women, or for women millionaires that is.
Bersani has utilized her superb luxury interior designing skills to come up with the “La Belle” concept design for an elegant and feminine superyacht, reports Yahoo! News.
The designer believes that it is high time that a luxury superyacht is designed for women since in the world of the rich and famous, superyacht owning have always been inclined in favor of the male multimillionaires.
The 80-meter luxury superyacht is said to accommodate 12 people and shall have five decks in total. It will have a master’s bedroom featuring a large circular bed, as well as five guest suites. The superyacht shall also have a beauty salon, a disco, a cinema, a couple of bars, and well-equipped spa on it.
Meant for the entertainment of women
Bersani explained that today’s luxury superyachts have all been designed to cater to the entertainment whims and sport fancies of men, whether they have or don’t have their girlfriends onboard
The “La Belle” will have an interior to the woman’s liking including gold and crystal designs that would suit every woman’s fancy for elegance, class and sophistication. On the topmost deck, the superyacht will also have a gold-plated helicopter pad, details Bersani.
She says that everyone is accustomed to seeing superyachts that are meant more for relaxing millionaires who dream of watching football with a glass of whiskey while smoking a cigar for that satisfying and calming experience. “La Belle” will do the same for women, that is why it shall have beauty salon and spa which are the preferred activities of women these days to be relaxed and look good.
Comes with a price
Bersani also believes that there are a number of women multimillionaires in the world who are capable of buying and owning the “La Belle.”
She says that she can actually think of at least two dozen women who might be interested in owning the first superyacht for the female species. Bersani said that she does not know the total of women millionaires in the world but she believes it is a couple of hundred at the very least.
The designer said that the “La Belle” will certainly not be cheap because of all the key trimmings needed to make it really look like a woman’s abode on the sea. Bersani said that she is looking at tapping a European shipbuilder to build the “La Belle” superyacht before she can come up with the final price for it.
Bersini says that just to give everyone a ballpark figure of the possible cost of the “La Belle” superyacht production, it could come with a $106 million or £70 million price tag.
Judging from the design of the “La Belle,” luxury analysts pointed out that the design is quite extravagant alright but it may not suit all women. However, it clearly showed female-oriented designs right off the bat.
