However, reports indicate that the actor isn’t actually staying in Southampton, he just travels to the set during the filming. This has led to the disappointment of some fans who were eager to meet the actor, as the filming locations are, expectedly, cordoned off and it would be impossible to talk to Cruise on the set itself. Those who don’t get a chance to shake Tom Cruise’s hands should at least get the consolation prize of getting to see their own town portrayed in his latest film, which is still something.
The production of the film has so far been going smoothly, despite the busy schedules of many key people involved with the project. Director J. J. Abrams, as well as Tom Cruise himself, both have other projects on their hands at the moment, and they’ve been forced to balance their workload so that they can still pay “Mission Impossible 5” the attention it desires.
