The upcoming role-playing video game “Persona 5” is rumored to have a tough gameplay that beginners would really find it difficult to play it when it’s released to the PlayStation 3 and the PlayStation 4 later this year in North America and Japan.
“Persona 5” is the fifth main title in the “Shin Megami Tensei: Persona” series, which is part of the larger “Megami Tensei” video games series.
Given its alleged high level of difficulty, “Persona 5” is expected to turn off beginners who may find it tough to connect and relate to the game, notes Venture Capital Post.
Game developer and publisher Atlus attributes the reason for the difficult gameplay of “Persona 5” to the nature of the role-playing game itself, which Japan is continuously using until today.
The modern generation Japanese have apparently elevated their preference for the games and wants players to feel more challenged so that is why they made sure that gamers get to feel it with “Persona 5.”
The other reason is that the upcoming video game is developed under a Japanese plot or storyline which would really make it difficult for beginners to adjust the mechanics due to the nature of the gameplay itself.
Gameplay
Just like in the past “Persona” series, “Persona 5” is played by living out a year in the life of a high school boy who gets the ability to summon facets of his psyche, known as Personas.
The game involves dungeon exploration which features additional elements from previous iterations of the video game including jumping across gaps or dashing between cover.
The battles in the game are based on a turn-based attack system, with the characters wielding both their Personas and two weapon types: a gun and a melee weapon. “Persona 5” also brings with it the social link element from “Persona 3” and “Persona 4” but in a different form.
Cryptic game trailer
Even the game trailer, which was released previously by Atlus, is a toughie too because players really find it difficult to figure out even if they crack their brains about it.
One gamer said that the game is really difficult and its storyline pretty insane so it’s quite a challenge to follow it. This observation is consistent with the previous claim that the nature of the storyline of “Persona 5” is what’s really making things difficult for beginners to understand and follow the game.
But “Persona 5” has its upsides too because it would not be an anticipated role-playing game if it does not have one or a couple at all. Aside from featuring great combat, fantastic characters, and wacky storylines, “Persona 5” has beautiful art design, which is the signature of the game.
Its outstanding cinematics is one of its lures to make gamers get more excited to “Persona 5” even though they know that they would really be up for a challenge playing it.
Atlus has yet to confirm the release date of the game but everyone is hoping that it finally arrives on Sony’s current and next gen gaming consoles this year.
