In addition to the bug fixes, maps and weapons, the patch has two new vehicles, four new masks and two new ammunition types to use. If you are looking for faster “interaction speed with objectives”, then the new tactical tool kit will be just the thing you need.
In most cases, you could say that downloadable content is not all its cracked up to be, but the Battlefield Hardline DLC is filled with goodies that will keep you playing for days. On the backside of things, the patch also took care of some server issues that have been hampering the gameplay associated with the game. “Netcode” improvements can be downloaded and installed in the same patch.
Those improvements are supposed to take care of server issues that have been identified by a third party company while watching the servers live. If you are a premium member, you will be able to get the downloadable content right now, whereas if you are not a paying member, the Battlefield Hardline DLC can be purchased by the end of the month if you are interested.
Battlefield: Hardline is Battlefield 4 with a paint job. Weaponry has the same feel, car driving has been moderately improved, and new gimmicks (such as a a grapple hook) has been added. Its story is sub-par at best, terrible if you’ve ever seen a single mediocre cop drama, its multiplayer is previous battlefield modes with slight alterations, with the exception of the car-driving mode, and its reduced scale fails to push its Frostbyte engine to its limits. The best thing that can be said about it is that Hardline’s launch was better than Battlefield 4’s. Paid DLC can’t change a flawed concept.
