‘Battlefield 5’ to be Released Officially as ‘Battlefield 1;’ Promises to Deliver Superb Entertainment!

Game developer Digital Illusions Computer Entertainment (DICE) and publisher Electronic Arts (EA) have announced early this month that its upcoming first-person shooter video game “Battlefield 5” is going to be officially called as “Battlefield 1.”

Joe Brammer, the executive producer of the first-person shooter video game “Battalion 1944” set in the World War II, was fortunate enough to be able to get a peek at the upcoming video game recently.

He said on the NeoGAF forum that he has seen “Battlefield 1” quite recently and remarked that he is beyond excited about it.

With that statement, it is now almost certain that the upcoming game, reportedly having the World War I as its setting, shall deliver superb gamer entertainment and meet fan expectations.

Incidentally, Brammer debunked notions that “Battlefield 1” shall have World War II as its setting as well similar to “Battalion 1944.” He said that just because he tweeted about “Battlefield 1” the game shall be set in World War II, adding that there is no logic for such assumption.

It was actually a Swiss video game retailer who confirmed a few months ago that “Battlefield 1” is to be set in World War I although both game developer and publisher have not said anything about it since.

It is also possible that EA and DICE might reveal more details about “Battlefield 1”  in the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016 to be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center next month, notes Gamespot.

More details about the game

EA and DICE have promised more details in the weeks ahead leading to the release of “Battlefield 1” on the Xbox One, the PlayStation 4, and the PC.

Before the full version is released, DICE shall reportedly be rolling out the “Battlefield 1” beta, pre-load, among other pre-requisites to ensure that the game comes out hassle-free.

It could be recalled that back in 2013, EA and DICE released “Battlefield 4” that puts console gamers and PC players on huge battlefields with an arsenal of weapons, compelling equipment, powerful vehicles, and a destructive environment.

Although “Battlefield 4” had its fair share of problems, both the game developer and publisher worked hard to improve the game.

Last year, EA and DICE released “Battlefield: Hardline” that featured more of the same elements as that of “Battlefield 4.” Nonetheless, it featured cops and robbers in place of various militaries, details Gotta Be Mobile.

An alternate version of World War I

There have been recent leaks that confirm previous rumors saying that “Battlefield 1” will take place during the World War I or an alternate history version of that conflict.

One of the leaks that recently came out featured an artwork which reportedly came from the upcoming first-person shooter video game showing a soldier armed with an early 20th-century pistol, a rifle, and a spiked trench club.

The same soldier also appears to be standing in front of a zeppelin, an airship that was used during World War I.

Assuming that the rumors about the supposed leaks are true, the setting of “Battlefield 1” will be in stark contrast to its rival game from Activision, “Call of Duty,” which will reportedly be venturing far into the future and deep space with the release later this year of “Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.”

Battlefield 5

There are also reports saying that “Battlefield 1” is going to hit the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One, and the PC on October 18 this year but that remains to be confirmed by either EA or DICE.

As a matter of fact, there is now a pre-order incentive to gamers which is called the Hellfighter Pack, which shall be included as part of the game.

The Hellfighter Pack includes items inspired by the US Army’s 369th Infantry Regiment, which is also known as Harlem Hellfighters.
