Director Zack Snyder of “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice” is a good friend to Director JJ Abrams of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”
As both of them have been directing potential blockbuster movies, they seemed to have started a friendly and fun rivalry in terms of promoting each other’s film. The rivalry started from way back in July of last year, details iDigital Times.
It was actually Snyder who started the fun rivalry rolling when he posted an obviously photoshopped image of Henry Cavill as a Jedi Knight. Abrams then responded by posting an image of John Boyega as Batman.
They have been going at it since then, much to the delight of the fans of the two upcoming movies. But it seems that Abrams has the last say following his recent posting of a video showing the Batmobile attached to the Millennium Falcon. Snyder has yet to come up with his response up until this time.
Instead, he revealed that Warner Bros is looking at releasing a new trailer for “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice” soon. Snyder said he hopes to up the ante in his rivalry with Abrams. He was obviously referring to the recently released trailer of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” which really looks awesome.
The last trailer of “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice” released a few weeks ago featured a glimpse of the story of Wonder Woman. It also showed an encounter between Diana Prince, the alter ego of Wonder Woman, and Bruce Wayne.
Biggest comic book film ever
Warner Bros and DC Comics are quite confident that when “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice” comes out in global theaters on March 25, 2016, it will be one of the biggest, if not the biggest comic book film ever, cites Moviepilot.
All the teases, trailers, and information regarding the movie really look fantastic and awesome, and it seems that Warner Bros and DC have all the right reasons to be optimistic that the film is going to be an epic.
There are a lot of things going for “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice” and among the major upsides include the fact that the Justice League is actually the more popular superhero team compared to the Avengers and the X-Men. If Warner Bros does it right, it may be able to offset the seeming advantage and head start already put on by Marvel Studios.
There is also the excitement of having Ben Affleck as Batman which succeeds the outstanding run of Christian Bale in the Dark Knight trilogy of Director Christopher Nolan.
And then, there is also the fact that fans would finally see for the first time in a movie the other Justice League superheroes including Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg, among others.
As far as plot is concerned, the battle between Superman and Batman has only been seen in the DC comics and not yet on TV or on film so fans would really love watching it on the big screen.
There have been reports that Superman would fell short in the battle against Batman that he would actually bleed, which would be another first in moviedom.
More things about Batman
Moviepilot also enumerated a lot of things about Ben Affleck’s Batman that would surely have fans interested, excited, and very enthusiastic about “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice.”
Accordingly, Batman would be more mature and tougher after having been jaded and darkened by his crime-fighting crusade for a long time.
The reports also say that Batman will use a souped up super suit but the suit armor he will be using in the movie is CGI.
