‘Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice’ Trailer will Likely Come Out in San Diego ComicCon in July

At this point in time, there are only two possible dates when the official trailer of “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice” will come out. The first of the possible opportunities is during the showing of “Mad Max: Fury Road” on May 15 and the second is the ComicCon event to be held in San Diego in July.

However, Warner Bros and DC are now looking more positively on the San Diego ComicCon gig since apparently Marvel will not be present at all during the event.

Without its main competition, DC will have the event all to itself and can actually turn it as the perfect opportunity to launch and give preview to all its upcoming films.

DC would surely have the spotlight as it unravels its upcoming plans for the superhero movie genre while getting the full attention of the crowd, observes Venture Capital Post.

While Warner Bros or DC has yet to make an official announcement to the release of the first official trailer of “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice,” it is now getting more likely that the San Diego ComicCon event will be its perfect date and venue.

Changes in the trailer

Although there have been reports that the teaser trailer of “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice” was already leaked in the internet twice, one in December and the second one in February, both leaks were shortlived as Warner Bros supposedly pulled them down before many others would see it.

Now there are reports saying that Warner Bros has decided to change the trailer because it was too focused on Batman instead of featuring the other superheroes in the film.

With that thought in mind, it is likely that the official trailer of “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice” shall already feature the other superhero characters including Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, The Flash, and several others.

While there is no doubt that Ben Affleck, who is playing the Caped Crusader in the movie, is the biggest star in the film, “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice” is the springboard for the likely next installment called “Justice League,” which is DC’s match to Marvel’s Avengers.

Having the trailer Batman-centric would already give Avengers the promotional edge over the Justice League which DC does not want to happen.

Precursor to other solo movies

From the film production business standpoint, Warner Bros and DC would also like “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice” as the main precursor to “Justice League” and other solo movies of other superheroes in the DC roster including possibly Wonder Woman, Aquaman, The Flash, among others.

A more holistic trailer that shall feature all of the Justice League superheroes, the way Marvel did recently with the latest trailer of “Avengers: Age of Ultron” will certainly do the promotional trick for DC and Warner Bros. “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice” will hit the theaters on March 25, 2016.
