Snyder explained that Doomsday is essentially an evolution. He was the reason for the “Death of Superman” story in the comic books. But he will not be able to do the same on the Man of Steel on “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice.”
According to Snyder, if Superman is the best evolution of Zod, Doomsday is the worst evolution of the villain from Krypton.
Doomsday has been designed in the movie by reputable production designer Patrick Tatopoulos, who is famous for designing monsters and creatures on films including “Independence Day,” “Godzilla,” and “Pitch Black.”
The director also said that Superman will not be killed in the movie, but he will evolve to become part of Lex Luthor’s plan to protect the world.
The different Superman under the command of Luthor will really make fans think how they look at super beings.
While some fans are worried that the recent trailer of “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice” has revealed too much about Doomsday, Tatopoulos cited that there is a larger threat at play in the movie, but he did not disclose it yet. Speculations have it that there will be another evil coming from Krypton other than Doomsday.
The glimpse of Doomsday in the trailer just added to the excitement of fans on “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice” when it is finally released to global theaters on March 25, 2016.
