“Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice” will hit theaters worldwide on March 25, 2016 still but the excitement that the movie is generating among fans make one feel that the movie is about to be shown in a couple of weeks time.
All the signs indicate that the film will be a global blockbuster success even this early.
On December 22, Moviepilot reported that a new trailer of the film was leaked online via the web-based bulletin board 4chan.
Upon searching however, nothing was found, even in YouTube, setting off speculations that the leaked trailer may have been yanked off by Warner Bros.
But those who have apparently seen the leaked trailer said that it started off with footage from “Man of Steel” showing the destruction of metropolis while Batman/Bruce Wayne narrates, notes Moviepilot.
After seeing the havoc all around him, Batman seems to be questioning the intervention of Superman and other Kryptonians on the earth’s affairs and its people by quipping: “Is Superman here to save us? Or destroy us? I am going to find out.”
Based on the rather captioned description of what was seen by some people in the internet, Moviepilot thinks that a trailer may have been leaked alright.
Filming and principal photography for the movie has already been completed so it is likely that an official teaser would be released by March 2015.
Youth Health also reported that the leaked film teaser is just floating around the web but very few people have actually seen it.
While none of its staff has seen the trailer on the internet and thus cannot confirm nor deny its actual existence, the site thinks that it could be true alright. Warner Bros just had to plug the leak so as not to jump the gun on its plans and schedules for the movie.
Powerhouse cast
Apart from Ben Affleck as Batman/Bruce Wayne, Henry Cavill as Superman/Clark Kent, and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman/Diana, the other powerhouse cast members of the film include Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jeremy Irons as Alfred, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, Jessa Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, and many others.
Jena Malone is also casted in the film although it is still not clear what role she would be playing. However, earlier rumors indicate that she will play the part of the female Robin, reveals the Inquisitr in an earlier report.
Speculations of a female Robin have been rife following initial reports that the Batman in the upcoming Warner Bros movie has been retired from crime fighting by some 10 years already and is already estranged from Dick Grayson.
In fact, there are also reports that Gotham City Police Commissioner James ‘Jim’ Gordon, Batman’s friend and ally is already long dead in the movie.
According to a report from Badass Digest, James Gordon has already bitten the dust in the movie but is not sure exactly how and why. But there is reportedly part in the script where there is a memorial plaque in the name of James Gordon. No wonder, the role wasn’t cast at all in the film.
