The official trailer of “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice” is almost confirmed for May 15 release attached to the upcoming Warner Bros movie “Mad Max: Fury Road.”
Tom Holkenborg, a music composer, confirmed in his tweet dated April 3 that he is working on putting film scoring on the DC Comics-based superhero movie, set to hit theaters on March 25, 2016, along with film’s composer Hans Zimmer, reports the UK edition of the International Business Times.
In his post on Twitter, Holkenborg, who also goes by the name of Junkie XL, revealed that the he finds the eagerly-anticipated trailer of the “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice” as really awesome.
He can really say so since he has spent almost an entire day just adding musical score to the film’s trailer.
May 15 it is
A little over an hour after making his first tweet, Holkenborg also posted via Twitter that people should consider watching “Mad Max: Fury Road” because they would sure to see a trailer that they would really like, which pretty much confirms the official release date of the movie teaser.
While Warner Bros has yet to make a confirmation of the release date of the official trailer for “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice,” there have been reports last week that the movie will really come out on May 15, consistent with Holkenborg’s tweet.
Warner Bros apparently wants the time frame from May 15 onwards all to itself since releasing the trailer earlier, would have it compete for attention and also comparison with Marvel’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron” which will be showing on May 1.
Leaked trailer
As early as December last year, there have been reports that the trailer of “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice” has been leaked on the TV bulletin board called 4chan. But it was just for a matter of hours as reports have it that Warner Bros pulled the plug on it even before many people could see it.
Then in January, another leaked trailer of the movie was again posted on 4chan which additionally featured Aquaman, played by Jason Momoa, The Flash, played by Ezra Miller, and Cyborg, played by Ray Fisher.
Based on reports of those who were able to see the supposed leaked trailer ahead of the rest, it opened with Superman fighting the Kryptonians amid chaos and destruction in the metropolis as Ben Affleck narrates and says: “The world has changed with the arrival of the Kryptonians.”
It then cuts to the batsuit as Ben Affleck continues to narrate and ask whether Superman is here to save or destroy the planet. And then he says “I’m going to find out.” Then the logo of “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice” appears.
The second trailer that was leaked in January had additional snippets after the first scenes. The snippets include Aquaman, The Flash and Cyborg, but it was only Aquaman who was in costume while Ezra Miller and Cyborg are just wearing civilian clothes.
Regardless of whether these leaked trailers are true or not, the movie still drives home its purpose of getting fans really excited for “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice.”
