Christian Post reports that filming for the first part of the Justice League movie, slated for a 2017 release, has already commenced.
David Brenner, the film’s director claimed on Pro Video Coalition that the original cut of the film ran over four hours in length, which was an hour longer that the Director’s Cut Zack Snyder plans on releasing.
Brenner admits that cutting almost three hours in the film was a lot to juggle. He explains that they went to and fro the film several times to pick out which scene will make it into the final cut and which scene will not.
The editor admits they did an extended cut and refined it in the same rhythm as the theatrical release.
Metro reports that perhaps the deleted scenes will be included in the special R-rated version of the film on DVD which will come out soon.
Despite the film being viewed as a disappointment, it was able to draw almost $830 million at the box office. However, the film set new records followed by a historic box-office drop in its second week.
Warner Bros is expected to redeem itself and the DC Extended Universe with the upcoming film “Suicide Squad” that will hit theaters on August 5.
