‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ Box-Office Might Simply Proves That Critics Were Wrong About the Movie!

Everybody is entitled to their own opinion. Unfortunately, for the movie critics of the Warner Bros superhero movie “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” based on DC Comics, they gave the film a not-so-good mark when most audiences and fans all over the world just loved the movie.

It is one of those times when critics’ words are to be taken with a fine grain of salt rather than the synopsis and the promotions of the film.

The staggering weekend box-office result of “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” when it opened in global theaters on March 25 is a testament to how widely patronized the movie is.

Its box-office gross for its first three days in global theaters netted $420 million, which is the best for a superhero movie and the fourth biggest of all time. Of the total amount, $166 million was from North America, which is another record for the movie. It has also become Warner Bros’ biggest three-day haul in China, details The Guardian.

Amid all the unfair criticisms hurled by critics on “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” the audiences around the world and the box-office results of the film thus far are simply proving that critics were wrong about the movie.

It may have its flaws as a superhero movie, but it is a great and fantastic movie worth seeing on theaters, especially for the comic book fans, who think of it as their dream superhero movie.

While the film is tense and dark, it is nonetheless a tremendously good superhero movie. It could have been made better but the critics were all wrong in saying that the movie is not good because on the contrary it is excellent, cites Forbes.

It boils down obviously to taste because liking or disliking a film is purely a matter of personal opinion, added the site, implying somewhat that most critics had either poor tastes or were simply in love with the idea that superhero films need the good old sense of humor and wit.

Long but tolerable

At a screening time of two hours and over 38 minutes, some would say that it is a long and tedious movie, which is probably why most critics find it overbearing.

However, those who have seen “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ and digested all the details and the premises it needed to establish at the beginning was well worth it. It was long alright, but it is not as tedious as most critics want people to believe.

The buildup of the fight between Batman and Superman was very excellent especially when it was later discovered by the two superheroes that they were used by Lex Luthor as mere pawns to a bigger scheme of things.

The fight scenes between Batman and Superman, which are obviously the highlight of the movie, were excellently shot. It was quite good that hardly anybody noticed that it was mostly CGI.

In addition, the cast members for “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” were all on cue. Ben Affleck was an excellent choice for a more jaded and vengeful Batman. Gal Gadot as Diana Prince a.ka.Wonder Woman was a scene-stealer too. Henry Cavill as Superman has logged in a remarkable performance from start to finish. And Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor is surprisingly great and very delectable as a villain too.

The death of Superman

The movie also came up with a mysterious, albeit controversial, ending, when Superman a.k.a. Clark Kent died after sticking a kryptonite-laced spear on Doomsday and exploding with the deformed Kryptonian creature.

Comic book fans everywhere in the world do not even have an inkling of a doubt that Superman will come back because he is indestructible and a Man of Steel at that.

He was even nuked by the US government in outer space along with Doomsday but he still survived and he was revived when the sun shone on him. It could be recalled that Batman made him inhale a kryptonite-laced smoke which temporarily weakened him but that did not kill him either.
